Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we meet to board our boat?

Mimosa Star is docked at “H” dock at the Cabo marina, behind Lorenzillos marina bar. Please wait for one of our crew members at the security gate at the top of the dock ramp. La Gringa and Sea Esta are located at Dock “E”. Please refer to your confirmation for information on the location and/or departure information which may be specific to your tour or departure date.

I get sea sick sometimes. Will this be a problem?

We try to provide a smooth and comfortable ride for our guests. Our boats are very wide and stable and slices through the waves easily. We do occasional encounter rougher seas if we are tracking whales further out but we will try to balance the quest for whales and your comfort and enjoyment. Our snorkeling tours are in calm shallow waters and generally very smooth and comfortable.

What should I bring?

You may want to bring a towel if you plan on getting into the water. We’ll supply the fun and everything else you might need. You can bring your own gear but we’ve got snorkels, masks, fins and life vests for you to use.

How much do we tip the crew?

The income of our crew is comprised largely of your appreciation of their hard work. A 15% gratuity is customary however if your trip and service exceptional and you choose to give a little more, it will be great and appreciated.
